we started going to village since its inception and i agree the quality of the place has deteriorated over years..i do love their payas and just come here for that & kulfis..nothing else..i dont agree with reviews of food being not halal as i have seen the owner getting meat from alnoor meat shop next door while i was doing my groceries there so that is not an issue..anybody purchasing halal meat and cooking it anywhere and me eating it from there is fine in my eyes..i doubt the cooks are slaughtering the animals in the back :)..secondly i dont understand some reviewers being so uptight about religion here as they have no issues eating macdonalds or wendys but raise a fuss eating at this place..pretty shallow i think.

MY SISTER AND I WAITED FOR 30 MINUTES FOR SERVICE.SOMEONE CAME GAVE US WATER AND TOOK THE ORDER.WE WAITED AND WATCHED THEM HELP CUSTOMERS WHO CAME AFTER US WHO WERE KNOWN TO THEM.I GUESS I HAVE TO BE A PAKISTANI TO BE SERVED THERE.DID NOT EAT JUST LEFT AFTER 10 MINUTES,GOT TIRED OF BEEN IGNORED.WENT TO INDIAN PALACE FOR CHAAT PAPRI

Sometime ago a group of us from NORTEL which include Chinese,Vietnamese,Bangladeshi,
Philippines,Canadian,Sikhs,Pakistani ordered food with sweets. Food was picket up and was ready on time but everyone was disappointed with the food. We were told that it is owned by Mirzai sect of Muslims but beside the point their food is no good

We went there couple of times and it was simply ridiculous. Second time I was embarrassed as I took my overseas guests there. Food is unhygienic, unhealthy, stale and staff is dirty. I actually saw the guy who brought us Nans bare handed, picking his nose inside kitchen.
Food Inspection Agency should check this restaurant out.

I went there foor was stale and staff was rude I later fell in foood poisoning and so my husband thanks God my son did not eat there.

Its turned out to be owner is Ahmedi Selling food by saying its Halal, worst food ever tasted,no good customer service very rude attitude please please if you are Muslim don't ever think to go there for eat.

The owner is Ahmadi and most of us know that Ahmadi's are not very careful about the Zabiha Halal, so it's your choice now.

They guy at the desk lied to me saying they are Muslims but they are Ahmadi.

Ahmadi people have fatwa that all food except pork is halal and doesn't have to be Zabiha. And they call it halal.

I wouldn't go there. If you'd like your food to be Zabiha Halal then go to Laroosh or Frito etc.

Our party of 3 waited over 35 minutes for our meal and the place was not busy. The food was authentic and tasty however the following day all of suffered from food poisoning and one party went to emergency. Complaints were made to the health department, so BEWARE.

Food is authentic and really good. I don't usually like nihari but their's I must say is awesome.
They have a potential to do better by improving their service and cleanliness by HIRING more people.
